The app

Three Tells collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party software, and it never connects to the internet. Everything it knows — the safes you have opened, your times, where the dial was when you put the phone down — is stored on your device only.

The app keeps a small play log on your device (dial positions and timings, nothing about you) so the game can pick up where you left off. You can hand that log to someone yourself from the Notebook screen, using the system share sheet; nothing leaves your device unless you do that.

If you delete the app, everything it stored goes with it.

The website

The production Three Tells website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits to public pages. It does not use analytics cookies, persistent visitor identifiers, advertising profiles, or cross-site tracking.

Vercel may process the time of a visit, the public page path without URL query strings or fragments, the referring website or page, approximate location, and general browser, operating-system, and device categories. Vercel derives a temporary visitor hash from the incoming request, discards it after 24 hours, and cannot use it to recognize a visitor across different days or websites. Three Tells receives aggregated reports rather than personal profiles or raw IP addresses.

Vercel Web Analytics does not set analytics cookies. This website removes accessible legacy Google Analytics cookies and the old analytics preference it previously stored. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the website suppresses Vercel Web Analytics page-view events.

Vercel's reporting window depends on the website's Vercel plan. Three Tells does not maintain a separate visitor-level analytics database. The hosting provider may separately process standard connection data needed to deliver the static site and protect its service.
